July Happenings

We were supposed to go to Mesa Verde with Annette and her kids from July 27-August 2.  But Drake broke his leg, so the trip was cancelled.  So we had a sleepover on July 27-July 28.  We made a fort in the living room, played with legos, watched movies, played games, cooked dutch oven food and had fun together.

I don't know why Michelle looks angry in this photo...she loves Mexican train.

On July 27, we watched our neighbor's cute baby, Todd, for a couple of hours.  Ella, especiallly, enjoyed holding him and taking care of him.

On July 26, Michelle had her annual fiddle concert at Sugarhouse Park.  It was wonderful!

On the 24th of July, we had the Lazartes and my mom and Mike over for a barbecue and fireworks.

On July 21, I was able to take the young women to the Jordan River Temple.  The workers commented on what a lovely spirit the young women had.  A temple worker talked to them about the spirits rejoicing as these ordinances are performed and another worker explained the importance of recording the ordinances after completing them.  It was such a wonderful morning to be in the temple with these beloved daughters of God!
On July 20, the Smiths invited Michelle and Gabby to hike Stewart Falls with them.  The girls had a wonderful time.  On the way down, a woman was injured.  Chuck and a few other guys took turns carrying the woman down the mountain.  It ended up being a late night, but a wonderful evening.

A couple of weeks ago, I bought Hokulia for all the kids to enjoy.  Those things are ginormous!
