Costa Rica: La Paz Waterfall and Garden

We flew from Salt Lake to LA yesterday with Jeremy, Stacie, Eli, Avy, Leo, Annette, Dante, Daphne, Drake and Davlynn.  We had an almost 6 hour layover so we played card games, ate, talked, napped and visited.

We arrived in Costa Rica this morning after flying all night.  After getting our cars, we headed toward La Paz Waterfall. On our way we found a restaurant and had breakfast.  I wish I had taken a photo of the two kind ladies who made all 15 of us breakfast.  Our family’s total was about $25 and that included a big plate of eggs, rice and beans and a tortilla for each of us, a drink, and strawberries and a fried tortilla with dulce de leche.  They were so friendly and kind.

Then we headed to La Paz.  It has beautiful trails as well as an aviary and habitats for sloths, butterflies, hummingbirds, monkeys,  frogs(which we accidentally missed) , and wild cats.  And there are several waterfalls.  It’s so beautiful!!! It was raining the entire time we were there so by the time we left we were cold and wet.  But it was SO beautiful.  Stacie said it reminded her of the Philippines and it definitely reminds me of El Salvador.  It’s a paradise on earth.  The girls were so tired and cold after La Paz but it was so beautiful!!

After finishing at La Paz we drove two hours to Fortuna to the Air BNB.  Almost Everyone swam.  And the kids have been playing games.  And the view from the Air BNB is beautiful!!
