Hike to Ghost Falls

While Brenda and Aelora were here, we went on a hike to Ghost Falls near Draper.  The coolest thing about this hike is that you could see the Draper Temple during much of the hike.  At one point, you could see the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and Jordan River Temple as well.

The most bizarre thing about this hike was that there was a truck down in the trees...it must have fallen quite a way to get there.

The creepiest thing about the hike is that we stopped to eat some lunch/snacks in a pretty little memorial grove.  While we were resting and eating, a creepy wasp came near us.  It freaked people out so most everyone started to run...and it chased them around.  Annette did some research and we think it was an ichneumon wasp.  If so, they can't sting...but they inject eggs into trees.

But still a nice hike.  Sunny, but nice.  And the Ghost Falls aren't very magnificent...just a tiny fall that disappears for much of the year, but it was still a pretty hike and one that we hadn't done before.  And it was fun to spend time with friends and get into the fresh air.
