Book of Mormon

Today I finished reading the Book of Mormon as President Nelson challenged us to do. Tremendous blessings come from following the prophet! I testify that this book is the word of God. It teaches us of Christ and testifies of Christ, and I have felt my Savior's love for me as I have studied and as I have pondered and as I have marked the teachings and acts of the Savior. As I read this time, for some reason the thing that seems to have stood out to me the most was the many trials that the followers of Christ had...and how He helped them through those trials. In Nephi's words: "1 Nephi 1: 20 And when the Jews heard these things they were angry with him; yea, even as with the prophets of old, whom they had cast out, and stoned, and slain; and they also sought his life, that they might take it away. But behold, I, Nephi, will show unto you that the tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty even unto the power of deliverance." And as I read the tender mercies shown to the people in the scriptures, I am better able to see the tender mercies He gives me. And they are many! And because I want to remember, as we are counseled over and over in the Book of Mormon, I have been diligently trying to write them down. My heart is full! I love this gospel, I love my Savior, and I love the Book of Mormon!
