Wilcox Miracles Covid

 Today I listened to a video "Real Talk and Friends" with Brad Wilcox.  He shared some of the miracles that have occurred during this Covid pandemic.

One of them...April 2020 had the largest number of viewers of any conference EVER before.  By 5 million more viewers than the next highest number of viewers.   That made me cry to hear that.

Brad Wilcox also shared that this pandemic has actually been really good for missionary work.  Tracting is not effective any more.  People don't trust strangers who knock on their door.  But missionaries are using social media and using their interests and talents. Missionaries are making videos that connect basketball to the gospel or the plan of salvation to making cookies.  And these videos are getting thousands of views.  And because people are a little less busy, members are getting more involved in missionary work.  They are willing to join a Zoom lesson to teach an investigator.   Missionaries are being resilient and flexible and finding success.

  Wilcox recently met a new convert.  This convert had been going to a mega Church and had been happy there.  But when Covid hit, his pastor gave him a list of church members to reach out to and check on.  And as he did, people wanted to know who he was and why he was calling and wanted him to leave them alone.  He felt like he didn't have a Christian community...and as he began to learn more about the gospel, He realized that He was learning more about Christ and His character.  He was recently baptized and his family is now investigating the church.  And there are many others like him.

Brother Wilcox also shared that as many missionaries were sent home due to the pandemic (or as their missions finished), youth in many countries are recognizing that there aren't many missionaries to share the gospel in their nation.  And so many are stepping up and deciding to serve a mission and strengthen their own country.  And the Church is making changes (such as waiving the necessity to have all your dental work done before you go) in some areas to make it possible for more people to serve.  Countries are being strengthened.

LESSONS LEARNED:  Miracles continue to happen!

President Nelson has said, "Our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, will perform some of His mightiest works between now and when He comes again. We will see miraculous indications that God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, preside over this Church in majesty and glory."

Moroni 7: 35-37 says: "And now, my beloved brethren, if this be the case that these things are true which I have spoken unto you, and God will show unto you, with ^apower and great glory at the last ^bday, that they are true, and if they are true has the day of miracles ceased?

36 Or have angels ceased to appear unto the children of men? Or has he ^awithheld the power of the Holy Ghost from them? Or will he, so long as time shall last, or the earth shall stand, or there shall be one man upon the face thereof to be saved?"

37 Behold I say unto you, Nay; for it is by faith that ^amiracles are wrought; and it is by faith that angels appear and minister unto men; wherefore, if these things have ceased wo be unto the children of men, for it is because of ^bunbelief, and all is vain.
