Zip-a-dee-ay and heigh-dee-ho

“Your Happy Birthday,” Children’s Songbook of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 283

This month is such a special one;
It’s birthday-time for you.
We’d really like to celebrate
Your happy day with you.
Zip-a-dee-ay and heigh-dee-ho,
Here’s something we can do.
We’ll sing a song that we all know,
Happy Birthday to you!

Happy birthday to my sweet Gabby girl! Gabby's birthday was yesterday, and she was so excited to turn four. We had a party for her and she had a wonderful time.
There were lots of fun moments. I loved seeing her and Oaklie playing on the swings...holding hands as they swung back and forth. I loved watching as she, Sofie, Daphne and Drake held hands and walked slowly in a circle. I enjoyed watching the grown ups talk and interact as they ate. I smiled as kids zipped across the lawn on the zipline and played games on the trampoline. I laughed out loud as kids threw a balloon up and Chester would hop in the air to try and catch it, then he would hit it repeatedly up into the air, 5 or 6 times in a row. You would have to see it to believe it! (But unfortunately, I didn't catch it on camera.) So many special moments. So wonderful to be surrounded by those we love and that love our sweet four year old girl.

The pinata almost made it long enough for all of the kids to get a chance to hit... almost...

The theme for Gabby's party was Tinkerbell. So she had a Tinkerbell and fairy cake.
But she absolutely didn't want us to follow our tradition of shoving her face in the cake. Michelle tried and it made her mad. And it didn't work.

Gabby was given so many great gifts that have already given her hours of fun play time and are sure to give her many more hours of fun.
