big girl
Ella started preschool today (it's summer camp at Write Start). Janene was nice enough to not only take the girls to preschool and pick them up, but also to snap some pics for me since I was at work. It sounds like it was mostly a good day, but Ella did cry for a little bit. (She said she wanted to play with her dinosaurs she brought for show and tell and teacher said it wasn't quite time yet. So then since she was crying, she didn't get to do her show and tell. Poor Ella. She was too upset to even tell Michelle or Mrs. Barnett why she was upset.) But Ella was so proud to be a big girl and get to go to school. She can't wait to go back. Michelle was also thrilled to be going to summer school (it was her idea) although she's sad that most of her friends aren't in her class anymore, especially Abby.

Hi, I'm Abby's mom. :) I found your blog through Brandi's. Abby was telling me the other day that Michelle was her best friend in preschool and she is sad that I didn't take a picture of just the 2 of them together at graduation. I told her that I was sure she would see Michelle again in kindergarten. I see on your blog though that they won't be going to the same school though. :( You can tell her that Abby misses her already too. She thought it was really fun to see pictures on your blog.

ReplyDeleteOur neighborhood school is Hunter Elementary (we live a little farther away from Brandi than most of the kids). Michelle is actually going to a dual immersion English Spanish school in Salt Lake. So she and Abby won't be at the same school. :(

Ella did a really good job at school the first day. Don't worry about her getting sad. She is just learning how to be in school! Tell her if she would like to, she can bring her things to show on Tuesday, since she didn't get to do show and tell this week!

ReplyDeletethanks brandi. I really wasn't worried about ella. She said she had fun. i know that when she feels like she is in trouble for any reason that she gets sad and cries and won't talk. i think she'll be fine. i'll let her know she can bring her show and tell on tuesday. did you get my message that the girls wouldn't be there on thursday? we'll bring the snack on tuesday. sorry about that!
ReplyDeleteAhhh.... poor thing! She'll adjust and soon be the smartest kiddo in her class (well, she already is :) but won't show it for a while)!
